Personal Statement
Coach, my name is Annalee Coronado from Othello WA class of (2023). I am going to play the sport I've loved and played, since 2nd grade, at the next level. While in college I plan to go into the medical field and will graduate as a registered nurse and eventually a Physician Assistant like my mother.
Throughout my experience playing this game I LOVE, I've learned to find joy in my team's success as much as my own. I am just as happy seeing my teammates succeed as I am when I am successful. There isn't a harder work with a bigger heart, on or off the court. I can play with folks I get along with as well as folks I don't. I've learned to put the good of the team above myself. I love basketball, plain and simple. I play year round. In the spring and summer I play with my club team, Sagebrush Hoops.
I play the point guard position. On my high school team as Freshman, I earned 2nd team all league honors in the Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC). As a sophomore I was one of only two sophomores who earned 1st team all league honors in the Greater Spokane League (GSL) conference. As a Junior I earned 1st team all league honors and was second in the voting for MVP of the CWAC. On my highschool team I've been award MVP all three years and have led the team in scoring. These awards that I've earned are great and I really cherish and appreciate them, but what I really want is for my teams as a whole be as successful as they can. I will do whatever it takes to make my team a success.
In school I currently have a 3.7 GPA and pride myself in keeping really good grades. I've taken a few college level classes and plan to take a couple more prior to graduating. I am easy going and get along with just about everyone. My parents are hard working and have instilled that trait in me. I look forward to continuing to learn and grown in my academic and basketball career.
