My name is Josie Barrett, and I’m a junior at Burns high school in Burns, Wyoming. I am a guard and have been playing basketball for 11 years. I’m passionate about competing at the next level and am eager to contribute to a program that values hard work, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Throughout my career, I’ve focused on refining my shooting, defense, and playmaking skills, which has allowed me to contribute significantly to my team’s success. Last season, I was named a 2a All-Conference player and was top three in every stat within my team. I also had the opportunity to attend tournaments on the Adidas 3 Stripe Circuit as well as HypeHerHoops, where I competed against some of the best players in the country.
Off the court, I maintain a 3.7 GPA and am focused on excelling academically while pursuing my athletic career. I believe that balancing my studies with basketball will help me grow as both a person and an athlete.
As a player, I pride myself on being a strong leader and teammate, constantly encouraging others while pushing myself to be the best. I’m always looking for ways to improve and am open to feedback from my coaches. I strive to be someone who elevates the team as a whole.
