I started playing golf on a high school team when I was 15 years old. At that time I was apart of the lower end of the junior varsity team. The next season after much needed private lessons, I was the number two player for the team. I shaved a good 20 strokes off my game. I am currently the captain of our girls golf team here in Riverside but I am ready to have a mentor instead of being one. On the 22nd of October I walked away with League MVP, leading by 7 strokes with a 93.
I enjoy staying active and going to fitness classes such as yoga. I find that being fit helps to improve my swing mechanics and my speed of play on the course. I hope to find a college that will offer off season fitness classes to keep me in shape.
I have loved playing golf just for fun, but I am ready to start taking it seriously and play at the college level. I play to my strengths but I know my weaknesses. My tee box and fairway game is solid but I am currently working on my distance control from 50 yards in. I find my inner motivation from my enjoyment of the sport. Improving is something I will never stop doing,
In college I will focus my studies around business administration to in hopes one day be able to run and maintain an office of some sort.
