My name is Isabella Hassan, and unlike most college golf applicants that fell in love with golf at a young age, I consider myself to be more of a late bloomer in junior golf. That’s because for 6 years, I was a synchronized swimmer competing on one of the most elite club teams in the nation. At the peak of my “career”, I was spending over 15 hours in the pool and 5 hours in the gym week in and week out. In February of 2020, we had been preparing for Junior Olympics when the pandemic hit, and our practices and meets were canceled. With my newfound free time, golf sparked my interest and I quickly became obsessed with the game. When it was time for me to return to synchro, this spark had turned into something more and I knew I wanted to pursue golf competitively and collegiately.
I am looking to play at a competitive school that will able to nurture me athletically and academically. Under strong coaching leadership, I know I will continue to lower my scoring average and become a starting player on the team.
