Personal Statement
Hi coaches! Thank you for your time!
Update*** I have committed to Berry College to play golf in the fall for them!
My name is Kristina Clay and I am a senior at Brookstone School. I have been playing golf since I was eight years old. I have my dad to thank for pushing me to practice and become a better player. I was able to win the city championship in 2017 with a 9 hole score of 31. Throughout my tournaments, I have achieved 27 athletic medals/8 trophies/5 plaques and 12 academic medals/4 trophies and I am so grateful and humbled by the experience. I recently placed 3rd in the area tournament. I know that playing in college is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I am so excited to be considered for the position.
I am confident in my drives and putts. I am very coachable and strive to work on my weaknesses and improve. I mainly struggle with endurance.
In the classroom, I study hard in multiple rigorous honors and Ap classes to challenge myself. I maintain a 4.0 GPA. I am working on improving my SAT and ACT scores this fall (for now they are a 1330 and 31). I also enjoy volunteering at many local organizations such as tutoring and more. I am currently a member of many committees and clubs that you can view in my extracurricular notes!
In college, I want to push myself to succeed in the classroom and on the golf course. I am open to many options and desire to find the right college match for me where I have an environment to strive in. I hope to become the best version of me I can be and exceed the expectations of all my supporters and make them proud. Please email me- as my messages on NCSA are not activated!
