Hello! My name is Demi Bolin. I am 17 years old and a junior at Plainfield High School in Indiana. I’ve been playing golf since I was 7 years old and love it more than anything! Alongside my younger brother, golf has been a favorite pastime for our family. We enjoy playing and competing against one another, and discovering new golf courses wherever we go. I look forward to finding a college where I can continue to push myself as a person in the classroom and on the course.

Additionally, I am involved with the National and Local Indiana First Tee organization. I’m proud that I’ve been involved with First Tee for 10 years and believe it has made me a better golfer and person. I enjoy meeting new people and making connections through First Tee. In November 2022, I was one out of 28 high schoolers selected to go to the National Leadership First Tee Innovator Forum in Dallas, Texas. From that opportunity, I was able to create a local food drive for shelters around my area. Here is a link describing the community service project I developed as a First Tee ACE Candidate:

In the classroom, I work hard to maintain a high GPA. My favorite subjects are Calculus AB and Human Body Systems. I am involved in numerous extracurriculars like student government and orchestra (upright bass). I am a member of the National Honors Society and was nominated to represent my school by becoming a student ambassador. Outside of golf, I like playing the piano (11 years) and hanging out with friends. Anything music-related and being together with people makes me happy. 

I would be a great addition to any team because I’m very team-oriented and passionate about golf. I’ve played sports my whole life including basketball (9 years) and competitive baton twirling (7 years). Through these sports and golf (10 years), I was able to grow a competitive mindset and learn how to be a supportive teammate. Through private coaching in all three sports, I developed a keen eye for detail. A little-known fact about me is that I love golf swing mechanics and appreciate the subtle differences of golfers I meet.
