I began playing golf when I was 5 years old. I love the game and feel blessed every time I get the opportunity to step on the course. I take every opportunity to practice and play at our local course. I have learned many life lessons on the course that will follow me into adulthood. I have learned self discipline, perseverance, patience, how to communicate professionally, and the importance of etiquette.
Having the opportunity to play varsity golf for Crawford High School has been such a wonderful experience. Before I played with my high school team, golf was more of an individual sport for me. It was always me against the course. Being part of a team has not only helped me improve my game but taught me the benefit of working with teammates to reach a common goal. I have learned to rely and trust others, praise the efforts of others, accept that people make mistakes, and support each other when needed. I strive to be a leader in golf and for my team. Coming from a small high school, there are not many girls that play golf. I am constantly recruiting new members, scheduling additional practices, and planning activities to promote team bonding.
Every day, every practice, every tournament, I strive to improve my game and be the best player I can be. I am excited for the opportunity to play at the college level with new coaches, new teammates, and new courses to further improve my game and grow as a person.
