During the last two years, I’ve only gone to a swing coach every few months just to learn more about my swing. However, that means that I’ve had to do a lot of self-taught swing changes and learned to play at 6000+ yds instead of 5000 all on my own. I’ve learned to keep myself motivated and passionate throughout the seasons even if I don’t have a lot of tournaments scheduled; my main goal has always been to keep learning about the gaming and improving the way I play.
In the 2019 districts, my team didn’t make it to regionals for the first time in seven years. Despite that being a hard loss, I found that I have been inspired to push harder and have higher expectations for myself as a leader and teammate. One of the ways I lead is by being encouraging in all situations and setting a good example, whether that be through positivity or my commitment to the game. This experience has made me a leader and pushed me to better myself for the sake of the team, not just my own game. This is the attitude I strive to bring everywhere so that I have a positive and perspective-changing influence on everyone!
