I have played golf for 7 years as I go into my senior year at high school. I have been coached by Susie Redman ex LPGA professional and occasionally by her husband and last years PGA coach of the year Kevin Kirk. I have played competitive high school golf in a strong TWHS team as well as tournament golf on the STPGA, Beltway JGT and the TJGT. I am hoping to study Psychology at college and would love to play college golf.
I feel I am a good team player - I will always help others in my team. I am very respectful of the rules and etiquette of golf. Golf continues to teach me life lessons. I have learned I will have good days and bad days and that I need to face them with the same determination and positive attitude while learning from my mistakes. I have learned the buck stops with me on the golf course and not to blame things outside my control be it the weather, injuries, annoying things my opponents may do or a bad bounce for my ball. This year I have faced adversity head on. In January I broke my arm and could not golf for 3 months. I was just getting back to form when I broke a toe in May! In spite of that I soldiered on and with the support of my coach and parents shot a tournament personal best 79 in my most recent tournament. This was the result of a lot of hard work including putting with one arm for a while and putting and chipping with one shoe :) I have learned to do all I can even when adversity strikes!
