I have been playing hockey since I was three years old. My passion for the game continues to grow every year. Hockey has taught me to persevere through the hard times and celebrate the good. I've worked extremely hard to get to where I am today. I will continue to work hard every day in order to play at the next next level. My dream is to continue to play the game that I love at the collegiate level.
I recently received the Character Award at my school and I try my best to set an example for my peers both in the academic and athletic arenas.
My goal is to play college hockey. I consistently give all I've got to everything that I do. I push myself in the classroom and on the ice. I currently go to school at The Winchendon School, so I have to be able to balance athletics and academics.
I have been fortunate enough to play on different teams, various levels, AA, AAA and sat on the bench with players that were once my rivals and later became my teammates. I love playing with different players, it provides me the opportunity to adapt and improve my game. I have been complimented for my hands, patience and vision on the ice. Hockey is a game of speed and change. If something doesn't work the first time, you modify, hit the ice harder and faster every shift.
My best hockey memory is scoring the shorthanded overtime goal in the semi-final game at Nationals in 2015 giving our team the chance to compete and actually become National Champions.
It is moments like these that make me love hockey more and more everyday.
