Hello! My name is Jenna Wilsher you may not know me yet but that’s why I'm here. To get to know you personally and for you to learn my background and my growing love for hockey. I was born in Michigan and grew up in Canton. At a very young age I started skating about 4 years old I began to find my love for the ice. I played on boys teams for a while but eventually it came to a point where I switched over to the girls teams. I never knew what hockey teammates I would develop myself with. Here I began to find my purpose in the net, at 10 years old was one of the first time in hockey where it just felt so right and was meant to be. With these girls I've spent my whole life with, known, talked to, helped, and loved; it just felt right. Leaving a team for the next year was always the hardest part, but that didn’t stop me from always playing my part with whoever ended up being on the ice with me and backing me up. No matter what situation it is, I always work great under pressure, whether it’s states, tournaments, or even any intense game. I power myself to learn from every mistake, every game, and every play good or bad. I reanalyze things that may have gone wrong and immediately improve them in practice. My goal is to play college hockey and keep improving as much as I can.
We can always speak about my great highlights, best memories and my skill level but, I would like to share something’s a little more personal so you really got to know the real me instead of just the hockey me. ever since elementary school I've always seen the good in people no matter what and always want to share love and kindness to whoever is in my proximity. My approach has extended to supporting teammates, schoolmates and family in a variety of situations some good and some challenging, whether it personal, home or team related issues. I found that giving that extra support to individual players on and off the ice allows them to bring their best self's and best effort to practices, games and team events without having to worry about other distractions.
