Personal Statement
I have been playing lacrosse for a number of years, but I wasn’t always sure of my abilities. In 2016, I was chosen to be a member of the Brine National Academy team representing the State of Michigan. Since that time, I have become more confident in myself and knowing that I can play the game at a high level.
I was first interested in lacrosse watching my older sister play in high school. My very first coach taught me the game in a way that helped me enjoy it from the start. She taught me how to make it fun and not be afraid to make a mistake. She said making mistakes is how you get better, provided you learn from them. I have always tried to keep those words in mind by taking risks on the field to improve my game.
