My name is Rachael Roszman and I live on a crop farm in Ovid, Michigan. Living and working in this environment has helped me develop good time management skills, self-reliance and dependability. It has also taught me the value of hard work, which is a trait I bring to my hockey training.
The majority of my time has been spent playing on boys teams because I enjoy the environment and competitive style of play. When I am not on the ice, I am looking for it. In addition to my girls AAA team last season, I practiced twice a week with boys varsity and filled in for the 18U AA team. My hard work and dedication over the years was recognized, and in 2018 I was afforded the opportunity to play in the CCM World Invite in Bled, Slovenia.
I have had the privilege to train under several coaches, namely Jason Muzzatti, former NHL goalie and current goalie coach for the Carolina Hurricanes. I am very coachable and open to new methods which I incorporate into my game.
My dream has always been to play hockey in college while attending a school that will help me meet my academic goals. I am dedicated and self-motivated, and understand that it is important to make the most of your time in everything you do, and am looking forward to playing for a team that shares these goals.
