Ava Jovan '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ava Jovan, and I am a 5’ 8” goaltender enrolled in my Senior year of high school at Acceleration Sports Academy powered by TPH.  I play for my hometown team the Buffalo Bison Girls Varsity hockey team.  I am extremely excited for a chance to play for your program.

I have been Buffalo’s starting goaltender since my sophomore year, and I got my first start on Varsity as a Freshman.  I finished my high school career with 2,397 saves!  I was named All Conference for the highly regarded Lake Conference in both my Junior and Senior seasons.  I was named MVP of my team in both these seasons as well. 

My Senior season just finished.  I had 773 shots on goal with 708 saves for a save percentage of .916.  I recorded my personal best 4 shutouts and served as Captain.

My Junior season I averaged 40 shots per game.  I had 1,048 shots on goal with 958 saves maintaining an overall save percentage of .914.  I broke Buffalo's all-time record of, “Most Saves in a Single Season.”  

My sophomore season I had 651 shots on goal with 589 saves for an overall save percentage of .910. 

I have a 3.25 Cumulative GPA, and I am interested in pursuing a degree in Business.  

I believe that my competitive nature and my strong desire to win hockey games are two assets which would benefit your team greatly.  I understand your time is valuable and I would love to discuss how I could contribute to your team once I graduate high school in 2025.

As I finish my high school career, I am so grateful for my coaches, teammates and parents for supporting me through the years.  I look forward to continuing my path as a goalie through college and look forward to what will come!
