My name is Isabelle Wurmser, and since I was 4 years old in an eye patch and a tiny pair of skates, I knew I wanted to play ice hockey at a high level. Everyday since then has been dedicated to improving. I leave everything on the ice, and I’ve learned so much from my time in the game in exchange. On the ice, my strengths include positioning, penalty kill, and puck support. After playing for so long, “hockey IQ” is something ingrained in my brain- even off the ice. As a player, I’m highly coachable, and I’m always the teammate to uplift those around me and encourage them to shoot harder, skate faster, and be more aggressive. I take each game as a lesson and my practice as homework. In the classroom, I’m just as competitive, despite the time and effort I’ve committed to hockey. If you’re looking for a player who doesn’t quit, whose mind is always at the rink, and who is at the rink every time they can be, I’m her.
