Hi! My name is Clementine Dickson-Child, and I am about to begin my 11th year of competitive ice hockey, having spent eight of those on a lively boys team in California. I make sure to give back to my community by consistently babysitting for my neighbors when needed, volunteering often at my local elementary school, food bank, and community house, and having been recognized for my leadership amongst my peers by several schools I have attended such as a Community Service Recognition Award from Sacred Heart Parish’s Women’s Club and a nomination for the LMTI Summer Leadership Conference while at MHS. Since moving to New Jersey two years ago, I have held a summer job at Noe Pond Club and gotten involved in my high school’s field hockey team, ice hockey team, and track team. Within these new environments I have made friends quickly and try my best to include everyone while getting to know them; always having a fun time without sacrificing hard work. My main aspiration as a whole, not just within college, is to flourish as a person as well as a player. While I am extremely passionate about ice hockey, I want to find an environment that can not only push me athletically so I can continue what I love, but also academically and socially as I explore what college, and the future as a whole, has to offer.
