For as long as I can remember, I've loved being in the ice rink. Before I even considered playing ice hockey, I started figure skating when I was seven years old. I competed as a figure skater for over three years until I started watching my brother's hockey games. I can remember thinking the games were really exciting! From there, I started playing hockey as a second year squirt. Playing on the boys team made me more aggressive then the girls I play with and against now. After my first year of playing with bantam boys, my parents decided to move me to the Colonials girls team. This new team was a lot more competitive and in turn, helped me improve. I played right wing on the boys team and decided to try a new position when transferring to the Colonials. I started playing defense last year until my coach had me try playing center. Ever since then, I have been playing as a center and occasionally going back to defense whenever my coach needs me to play. My dedication and determination for playing ice hockey has always been helpful to me. Education will always come first for me, but I make sure to give my all when playing hockey. Overall, I enjoy playing hockey and the thought of playing for a college would be unbelievable!
