Hi, my name is Autumn Hoyle and I have been playing ice hockey since I was 6 years old. I consider myself a team first player. While scoring goals is fun, I actually enjoy playing shut down defense and setting up teammates with tape to tape breakout passes even more. I have played on many teams at different levels and have been a part of championship seasons as well as some where we won very few games. Both the successful seasons and the harder ones have shaped me into the player I have become. I consider myself as a quiet leader, my work ethic and sportsmanship drive who I am both on and off the ice.
I compete mostly in what is considered an A level girls league (SGHL), where I have been playing up in age group since I was 13. I play some AA (girls) when proximity and finances allow me to as well, which i'm told is more where my skill set aligns me. I also play in the South Carolina Palmetto High School League (SCSHA) with the boys.
Away from the rink I work hard to maintain a very high GPA and enjoy being an accomplished musician. I play varsity golf for my high school and weight train as well. I also volunteer my time helping grow the game of girls hockey through helping out with events and camps.
I'm looking for a great college academically that also has opportunities for me to still play on a hockey team. At this time I can see my self going into a career in medicine.
Thank you,
Autumn Hoyle
