Hi coaches, my name is Sofia Pascua and I am a student athlete from Carlsbad, California. I have been playing lacrosse for 3 years, and I have been playing club lacrosse for 2 years. As soon as I picked up my stick in my freshman year of high school, I fell in love with the sport and I want to continue playing it as long as possible.
I have played and am confident at all field positions, but I feel most in my element as a defender. I am very good at reading the field and I have no issue being very vocal all over the field. My speed and ambidextrous stick skills make me a threat in the transition and on both sides of the field. I am very coachable and a very hard worker, putting in extra work outside of practice is a regular routine to me. I am also a quick learner, and am able to make corrections and adaptations to my playing in game very quickly.
My academics are very important to me and I work hard to maintain good grades, I currently have a 4.0 unweighted/4.2 weighted GPA throughout my high school career. I have excellent time management skills, I am able to juggle a rigorous course load (numerous AP and honors courses in a trimester system) with many extracurriculars (high school varsity lacrosse & field hockey, club lacrosse, club president, volunteering, etc.).
I would love to continue playing lacrosse at a collegiate level somewhere that challenges both my athletic ability and my academic ability.
