Hello my name is JaLynn Williams I am 17, I was born in Savannah Georgia, December 22, 1999. I am the youngest child. I live with my mom and she is my biggest supporter. I attend Richmond Hill High School; I am currently a Junior it is the end of my first semester. I'm a A-B average (currently). I currently work also as a waitress at Waffle House it is my first job and I've been working there for more than 6 months. I love my job I'm surrounded by positive people and I've learn a lot working there. Hard working, Self control, and Work ethics just to name a few things that I have learned. I play Lacrosse for Richmond Hill Girls Lacrosse. We are a first year team and we started January 2016 to May 2016; we are now going into our second year. We are working hard everyday so we can be better than last years.
I haven't played many sports throughout my 17 years. I was Cheerleader, played basketball for the recreational center in Richmond Hill, but that was years ago. Lacrosse was honestly new to me I didn't know anything about the sport except the fact that I saw them playing lacrosse on 'Teen Wolf'. When I saw them play I was in 'ahhh. Then my Sophomore year I saw a flyer 'Lacrosse Meeting in East Cafeteria if interested'. MANN!!! Was I excited. I attended the meeting and that meeting change everything. Coach Mike gave the most amazing speech and I will always remember one line, "I'll make you the greatest lacrosse player." The video, the speech, the players.. I was in love. I went home call my mom and my dad and tell them I really want to do this sport and that I would do anything for their support. They got all my equipment and I was off to the first practice; I laugh until this day I've come so far from that practice I only caught 3 balls that night. I honestly wanted to give up but my mom said no and she knew I could do it because she believed in me. Now I'm playing my two favorite positions Defense and Attack. I know its weird when I tell other lacrosse players that they think I'm a midfielder, but I'm not. I'm willing to work my way there though. I've work so hard over the summer and I have come so fall and I'm working hard so that I can be even better this upcoming season.
I'm now interested in playing college lacrosse while pursuing a degree in Physical Therapist. I want to be able help injured athletes and other patients. I like the idea of being able to rehabilitate someone to 100% in order to do their everyday activities. I also have taken classes to prepare me for being a Health Professional. I've taken Introduction to Healthcare (This is learning the basic of any health care facilities and requirement you need to meet to be part of the medical field), Essential Healthcare ( Essential is learning more anatomy of the body and medical terminology), Sports and Medicine (This is more for Athletic Trainers and Physical Therapist or any Rehabilitation Facility ; what they will be required to do and what they need to be in the Sports Medicine community)
