2024 Highlights
2023 HighlightsMy name is Theresa, but everyone calls me Tess. I have been playing lacrosse for four years and it is my favorite sport of all those that I have tried. I play for Lilac City Lacrosse Club out of Spokane and Treasure State Lacrosse in the off-season, and I am going to learn every single thing I can from the other players and the tournaments I will play in. My goal as a player is to be coachable- I want to learn as much as I can to be the best player that I can be. I faced some challenges with injury this season, but I made the best of the time I was able to play each game, and tried to focus on encouraging the rest of my team. Thankfully I am fully healed and ready to go for summer and fall!
Part of my college dream is to be able to continue playing lacrosse- I love the energy and excitement. I also try to encourage my teammates as they work on new skills, because their win is my win. I was able to move to attack after my sophomore regular season. I love being in a position to help our team put points on the board. I also enjoy working with the other players to find the best chance to score, even when I don't have the best shot. Because of various injuries and the needs of my team, I also played a lot of midfield during my HS season this spring. I always want to be where I can help our team the most.
I plan to study Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology, maybe with a minor in coaching. I really enjoy working with kids, so I would love to have an opportunity to do that as a career. I have been helping coach the 5th and 6th grade girls lacrosse team and I love it. I love that they are really eager to learn and I can share my love of lacrosse with them. I also volunteered with the kids at my church in Vacation Bible School over the past three summers, and at our lacrosse club's youth summer programs and free clinics. I am finishing my certification as a Youth Girls Lacrosse referee, and I hope to work some tournaments after the High School season ends.
