Tehya Redman '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Tehya Redman. I come from Standing Buffalo Dakota First Nation. I am 16 years old and have been playing lacrosse (creators game) for a little over 8 years. I’m happy and honoured to say that I have been able to be an athlete at the 2022 Canada Summer Games. Where I’m from you don’t really see a lot of woman’s lacrosse, I’ve always been on an all boys teams and finally had a chance of a lifetime to attend CSG with an all girls team. It was a great experience and I loved everything about it. However, unfortunately I’ve never had a woman lacrosse player to look up to, and now I am happy to say that I’m considered a role model for youth in my community. My goals are to inspire youth and to be that role model that girls can look up to.
