In life, but especially lacrosse, I’m self-motivated, a hard worker, a team player and driven to be the best I can be. I developed a passion for lacrosse at the age of nine when I had to play in my club’s boys’ team as there was no girls’ team. The challenge of playing with boys drove me to become a better player. That desire to constantly improve my lacrosse has never diminished, and my love of the game is why you will find me at the wall in between training days.
For my club and U18 Victorian State team, I’m the defender the coach sends to shut down the opposition’s best attacker and cause a turnover. With my speed and stick skills, I’m also the player who takes the ball from deep in defense down the field and as I can also play mid, In 2023 I have the highest number of assists in the league, and in 2022, for my club I scored 18 goals and made 9 assists. At the 2022 Nationals where I made the Australian Allstars as a defender, I also scored two goals in four games, including the sealer goal to ultimately win the tournament for my state.
I currently play for Camberwell Lacrosse Club in State League.
I have also represented my state, Victoria, in girls U15 Volleyball at the 2019 National Championships.
Leaving Australia to come to America is a big step and I hope it shows my hunger to achieve greatness both on the field and off the field. I’m looking for a university that plays sport at a high level and is also an academic global leader, a place I can be a part of, contribute to, and call my new home.
