I enjoy many things about lacrosse. The friendships, the exercise, and the competitiveness have kept me hooked since 5th grade. I would love to play at the D1 level, but if I find a school that better fits me athletically and academically, I would consider another division. I would like to attend a school with more than 1200 students. I am open to an urban, suburban or rural setting.
I am a hard worker, and I’m strong. I have leadership skills on and off the field. I am passionate about team work and building each other up to become a stronger team that works like a well oiled machine. I have the talent needed to continue playing in college, and I am working hard all year round to strengthen my body and my skills.
Starting in 7th grade, I played 3 years for a local club team called Cardinal Elite owned by Monica Negron. In fall of 2017, I added a second club based out of Avon, Connecticut called CT Dodgers owned by Dee Stephan. In the spring of 2018, I switched my local club to Bluegrass Premier owned by Patrick McAnulty. My Sacred Heart Academy High School coach also coaches at Bluegrass Premier. His name is Dennis Truman.
I have always been active in sports, starting with wee ball as a five year old. I played field hockey & soccer starting in kindergarten and added volleyball and lacrosse, to that all through grade school years. I continued playing field hockey and lacrosse in high school but I quit field hockey after my freshman year. I think the tough conditioning for freshman field hockey prepared me well for the tougher conditioning required for lacrosse. I’ve had a bloody nose or two during a game, and I’ve taken a hard shot on goal to the head - game on! Opponent didn’t get her goal! I have never had a major injury playing a sport, and I’ve never been injured enough to be knocked out of a game.
I have played in many tournaments over the past two years. I’m serious about lacrosse and improving my game, however, I’m guaranteed to be the first one to break out into a dance move off the field! The quality of the dancing is not clear…ha!
When I’m not studying for my classes, conditioning or playing lacrosse, I volunteer my time at a daycare called Sproutlings. I usually help with the children who are about a year old. I love that I get to be with these precious little kids that are all different. Some of the children have special needs. They are all equally adorable and precious to me.
