Abby Smith '15 Recruiting Profile

I come from a long line of lacrosse players! My grandfather is involved with US lacrosse,  my dad has coached for years and my twin brother also plays lacrosse.  So lacrosse is a big part of our family.  I played the field from 3rd grade until middle school, when my club team needed a goalie and I stepped up.  Now inside the cage is the place for me! I currently ply for Patterson Mill High School and Elite Lacrosse Club, in Bel Air.MD.  I hope to continue my passion for the game at the college level.

I am actively involved in community service through my church, school and Young Life.  I have volunteer coached a rec. league team of 4th & 5th graders.  Through Young Life, I am a Capernaum buddy for teens with special needs.  As far as my church goes, I have been altar serving and helping out at church functions since 3rd grade.  In ninth grade my school participated in Rachel's challenge,and I was selected as a Rachel's challenge leader.

I take honors and AP courses, and have been on the honor roll every quarter for as long as I can remember.  I believe it is important to be a well rounded person.
