Hi! I am Mea Richardson, class of 2026, and I am very interested in pursuing career paths along the lines of law, political science, and international relations. I have experience in playing attack, midfield and defense. I would love to continue and pursue my lacrosse career in college! I had been playing soccer for twelve years when I tried lacrosse for the first time and fell in love with the sport.
I started playing lacrosse in eighth grade for the varsity team at my school. I have since had the opportunity to attend a clinic where I was able to grow and learn from the players and coaches at the college running the clinic as well as other attendees. Additionally, knowing that I started later than other players, I have spent countless hours in the gym and on the field by myself and with my teammates learning new skills and a multitude of offensive plays and defensive positions. I continue to practice my lacrosse skills every time I get the chance. I am a dedicated and driven player. I always push myself to get better, grow, learn and connect with my teammates and coaches. Some of my skills include using both hands, shooting, my speed and cooperativeness, encouragement, and leadership of my teammates.
As mentioned before, I continue to play soccer at the varsity level while also participating in recreational skiing in the winter and varsity lacrosse in the spring. During this summer I refereed, which kept me engaged in my community and I learned how to better work with other referees and build the confidence to use my voice to deal with intense situations. Starting this fall, I will play for a recreational team outside of school where I intend to continue to build my skills and participate in games and tournaments. I maintain a high GPA and always strive for excellence in my academics and athletics. Furthermore, I have the privilege of leading and taking part in multiple clubs and other leadership opportunities.
