Hi my name is Emily Gerosa and I’m in the class of 2024 at Marlborough High School. I am a highly driven player and I am always looking to make myself a better player and teammate. I started playing lacrosse in the fourth grade when my dad's friend encouraged me to try it. I signed up for a lacrosse clinic and I fell in love with the sport. My family moved to Virginia about a year after that because the Navy relocated my dad to Washington D.C. There I joined my first rec lacrosse team, and then that lead to my first club team. Two years later we moved again to Massachusetts, and I joined another club team. During my freshman year of high school I made my school’s JV team, the head varsity coach then asked me to play on the varsity team for playoffs. Alongside lacrosse I was also a gymnast. Gymnastics has taught me how to have balance, hand eye coordination, and discipline. I use all of those skills and more to better myself on the field. I strive to be my best on the field as well as in the classroom. I work hard and study to keep my grades up and to be on the honor roll. In order to do both lacrosse and school I need to have time management to get my homework done before lacrosse because my education takes priority. When I’m not on the field playing lacrosse I enjoy baking, going to the beach, and going skiing. I am a part of my school’s mentoring program where I will take the upcoming freshman and transfer students on a tour of the high school.
