Personal Statement
Hi my name is Ruby Hampton and here are some of my goals, aspirations, and personal facts about me. I’ve been playing lacrosse for 11 years. I started when I was 6 on a U11 team. My coach would describe me as energetic, fun to watch, aggressive and competitive. I have a positive attitude especially with my team and am always ready to help out a team member. I am also very hard working and determined. I have Dyslexia so school has always been a bit harder for me, but working hard never scares me and I never give up. Now I am in the National Honor Society and Biomedical Classes and have a 3.9 GPA. My goals in lacrosse are to improve as a player and teammate; that everyday I learn something new about the game. Lacrosse has made me the person I am today; strong, hardworking, confident, and very competitive . I’ve always been very athletic, my father is a runner so I was introduced to working out at a very young age. Eating healthy is also very important in my family! I was diagnosed with celiac disease when I was 7 and my family immediately adjusted to a gluten free diet added to our already organic, Whole Foods lifestyle. Criminal Forensic Pathology is my dream degree! Science has always been my strong suit and I am fascinated with serial killers. Medical school would be such a great opportunity so I’m looking at that as a possibility and I am considering a job in the FBI. I’m open to schools offering varying levels of scholarship that meet my academic criteria. Thank you for you’re time!
