Hi, I am Jada, a 17 year-old female. I attend Old Bridge High School, in Old Bridge, New Jersey, class of 2025. I play lacrosse on the Varsity level, basketball on the Varsity level, and soccer on the Junior Varsity level. Outside of school sports, I also play soccer for my travel team, Impact Purple. On this team, I have been named the captain, the only one, for 4 years. We are currently ranked 83rd in the state of New Jersey.
Besides this, I also keep track, and stay on top of my academic standings because it is very important to me, as I take my courses very serioulsy. I am enrolled in AP and Honors classes, my favorite being AP Chemistry as well as Pre-Calculus Honors. My academic standing has always been one of my top priorities, and will continue to be a top priority. While I am a dedicated, hard-working player on the field, I am also very active in class, and I always love to participate.
Sports have been apart of my life since I can remember. I am so grateful for this because as I have grown, the sport has changed me into the person I am today; the positive teammate that can also lead the team to victory. If I have learned one thing from being an athlete, it has shown me that in difficult times, like during an injury, you must keep a positive mindset. It has also helped me overcome adversity when things are not going your way, and taught me to take ownership over my mistakes.
Since I have worked all over the field during my lacrosse career, it has allowed me to become a coachable player. This is shown through my high school season. While I was originally a low attack player, I have cycled through all the positions on the field including attack, midfield, low defense, defense, and even ball hawk. This clearly demonstrates my coachable ability, as well as the player that puts the team over myself. Since competing has always been apart of my life, and just being an overall athletic person, I wish to continue my career through college because it is my passion.
