Grace Reid '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Grace Reid, I am the oldest child in my family, I am the role model to my two younger brothers.  I have been playing lacrosse and soccer for may years now, and have continued into high school.  While I play soccer for my high school team in the Fall, my main focus is lacrosse.  I train for my club lacrosse team all Winter, Spring and Summer.

My goal is to continue playing lacrosse into college and beyond.  I do know the importance of keeping my school grades at a very high level, if I want to have my choice of colleges when that time comes.  I am currently enrolled in many college prep level courses, as well as some honors courses.  I am working diligently to manage my classroom and athletic schedule, so there is optimum time for me to focus on my studies as well as lacrosse. 
My strengths on the field, as a defenseman, are communication with my fellow defenders as well as my goalie. I typically focus on covering the opposing teams strongest Attacker(s). My experience as a defender allows me to make split second decisions on when it is most appropriate to aid another teammate in defensive coverage. I am constantly striving to improve on the areas previously mentioned.
Lacrosse has become a big part of my life and I look forward to continuing to play and learn more about this game for many years to come.
