2019 Highlights
2018 Highlights My lacrosse career began in sixth grade when I joined my local Police Athletic League team. Previously a spectator, I decided it looked like fun and I was ready to try something new. Sixth graders in our district are not eligible to play school sports, so the PAL team gave me an opportunity to learn the game and hone my skills. I continued to play with the PAL team in seventh grade and also joined the school team that year. In an effort to challenge myself, in the Fall of 2016 I tried out for one of the local travel teams, the Long Island Yellow Jackets. I was thrilled to make the team and began traveling with my YJ team the summer of 2017. I just completed my second travel season with my YJ team, and feel it has really helped me to grow as a strong Defensive player, as well as prepare me for my first year playing on the high school team.
My Freshman year in high school I was a member of the Junior Varsity Lacrosse Team, the Varsity Cheer Squad, The YJ travel team and an outside travel Cheer Squad, while maintaining a full honors load, in addition to my participation in the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra. My involvement during my Freshman year was tough, yet helped me understand the value of time management and sacrifice, as well as teamwork and commitment. At the end of my Freshman year, I made the decision to give up cheerleading and focus my efforts solely on continuing to advance my lacrosse skills, as a committed player with a strong work-ethic. I am looking for a program that will allow me to be a strong team player, continue to improve my lacrosse skills, while meeting my academic goals at the same time.
