Personal Statement
I have been playing lacrosse since I was six years old. When I was in 2nd grade I tired playing goalie and immediately fell in love with it, and since 4th grade I’ve been fully committed to the position. Since then, I’ve dreamt of playing at the college level, as it’s an opportunity of a lifetime.
I have quick reflexes and strong hand-eye coordination. I am a leader on and off the field, encouraging my teammates and leading by example, with the ability to set up my defense to be successful. I have a high lacrosse IQ and am very coachable. I strive to be one of your hardest working players and recruits that you’ll find.
I work year-round on my lacrosse skills, participating in club lacrosse for Monster Elite Purple, as well as being a four-year player on my high school lacrosse team. I was named to the 2022 NYS Regional Team where I was selected as an all-star, I’ve been chosen to represent the Upstate Team for American Select, where I made the All-Tournament Team, I was featured by Inside Lacrosse Magazine as a “goalie to watch” in 2022, and was recently named "goalie to watch" in the 2023 Democrat and Chronicle Preseason Article. Outside of lacrosse I’ve taken dance since I was 3-years-old, which has helped immensely with my flexibility and athleticism.
In the classroom, I study hard and carry a 96 average. I have made High Honor Roll in every quarter which includes AP classes and honors. I received the Scholar Athlete Award in the Spring, 2022 and was named Student of the Month for the entire school in November, 2022. In addition to academics, I am an ambassador for Morgan’s Message, a member of Model UN, I participate in Math League, and I Volunteer at our local hospital in the Pediatrics Department.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the lacrosse field. I am open to all options and want to find the right match at the highest level of competition possible. I want to study Biology and enter the medical field, and I believe my rigorous high school course load has prepared me for the challenge of balancing college academics and athletics in the future.
