2020 Highlights I started playing lacrosse at a very young age, so it has impacted my life for the longest time. I grew up playing other sports in the off season and participated in many extracurricular activities, but lacrosse has always stood out the most for me. The sport has taught me dedication, passion, and true sportsmanship. It has brought many close friendships and taught me how to properly balance fun and hard work. As my junior year of high school approaches, I am certain that by using the lessons lacrosse has taught me, I will be able to properly balance my social, academic, and physical commitments this year.
I am a dual-sport athlete and I play field hockey during the fall season, while also playing club lacrosse year-round. Playing another sport has not only kept me in shape, but also kept me in the right mindset to succeed. It helps me keep academics and sports balanced, so when the lacrosse season starts again, I am better prepared. Along with sports, academics are very important to me. I enjoy science and mathematics classes, and always make sure to dedicate enough time to keep my grades up and continue learning.
After high school, I want to pursue a higher education in the medical field and become a pediatrician. Additionally, I want to continue my lacrosse career and play in college. Throughout high school, I have improved greatly as a player by learning what it means to be part of a team. It is an enormous commitment that each player has to work for, but in the end it is extremely rewarding. By continuing my lacrosse career, I will bring the dedication, passion, and sportsmanship I have learned onto the field at the next level.
