Lyla Shaw '27 Recruiting Profile

I love playing lacrosse. It's the time of my day that I'm the happiest. Even after practice and games I go out to re-live the game again in my backyard. I spend hours in the backyard with my mom practicing shots that we see on the internet.  I usually can replicate the shots which is pretty awesome. I have played lacrosse since I was 7 and just love playing more and more each year. 

 I train with Matt Johnson who was a div 1 player at SUNY Albany and a professional box lax player. I work with him on box shooting and footwork etc.. Learning box techniques and skills have allowed me to score and work in tight spaces. 

When I'm not playing lacrosse I am working hard to get good grades. I enjoy singing and belong to a singing club through school. I have been chosen to represent my school at regional singing competitions. I play the trumpet in band and play soccer. I like Math and hope to have a career that uses Math frequently.
