Hi, my name is Annika Taylor. I play for LaxNW Rippers Select and Westview High School as a draw-specialist midfielder and attacker. My goal is to play collegiate lacrosse while also focusing on academics. As an athlete, I have learned what it’s like to be unable to play the sport I love. I have had 5 concussions, causing me to be out of sports for nearly two years straight. Taking so long off of sports has forced me to learn so much about myself and who I am as a player and person. I realized my love for lacrosse and how important having a tight-knit team is. When I play in college, I hope to help create a welcoming environment, while also maintaining focus. As a student, I have always loved being challenged. I love to be pushed outside of my comfort zone. I plan to follow the pre-med path in hopes of becoming a trauma surgeon. Helping people is important to me and by becoming a doctor, I can do that.
