Personal Statement
Being able to play on teams with people who know that they can trust me in the net and as their last line of defense is what I believe makes me grow the most. Knowing that I need to get better because my teammates want to win and being able to help them with that is one of my favorite things about lacrosse. I carry this over often into my school life as I try to stay as positive and be as efficient as possible with my work. It helps me become a better and more caring person to my friends and family. Lacrosse has taught me that I love seeing people succeed at what they love no matter what it may be.
After my first year of high school lacrosse I was very thankful for the seniors and coaches and their teachings about how to become a more focused and mentally strong athlete. They taught me that even though we may not be in the best of situations, there is always a way to see the good in it. I learned a lot about encouragement which creates a great feeling in everyone and how overall it helps to create less of a mental struggle. Being a mentally strong, determined, and optimistic athlete is something that I believe in very strongly and I hope to bring it to every game, practice, and tournament and I hope to continue this legacy by spreading it to my teammates and any other players I meet along the way.
