I strive to be a scholar athlete majoring in Business Administration. I am an excellent student that spends time organizing her classes and studies along with her training for lacrosse. Initially, I was a basketball point guard and spent numerous years on travel teams and playing in AAU tournaments but fell in love with lacrosse and have dedicated myself to becoming the best player I can be. My basketball skills, particularly defensive skills learned in basketball, have translated well into lacrosse, particularly my primary position of defense. I take great joy in stopping a team from scoring.
I am a leader on my high school team and have been given the Rookie of the Year Award my Freshman year and Unsung Hero Award my sophomore year. In 2015, I was selected to represent the Western Pennsylvania Region in the 2015 Pride on Pennsylvania showcase with a chance to represent Pennsylvania in the Brine National Lacrosse Classic (could not attend final tryout due to lacrosse conflict). I am also a certified womens lacrosse referee. I pride myself in working well with other teammates and believe that the needs of the team outweigh the needs of the individual.
In addition to lacrosse and school, I am involved in the Red Cross, Girl Gov (a program in Pennsylvania that exposes young women to state government) and attended on scholarship a week-long PFEW Business Camp in the summer of 2014. I believe that my athletic ability, along with my academic skills and leadership make me a prime candidate to play on a school's lacrosse team.
