Mackenzie Rush '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I am Mackenzie Rush.  I aspire to go into the STEM field, but I do not know specifically what profession. In school, I take all AP or Pre-AP courses. Outside of sports, I am a straight-A student and a singer/pianist. I also have Type 1 Diabetes but am lucky enough to be on the new Horizon pump, a bionic pancreas produced by Dexcom and OmniPod. This pump keeps me much more stable during sports and everyday life by administering custom insulin levels based on my blood sugar.  I have played lacrosse since 5th grade but took a two-year break due to injuries, but now I am back in the sport for the long run.
