Anya Helgerson '27 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I’m Anya and lacrosse has been a major part of my life since I started playing. I continue to maintain a 4.00 unweighted GPA while challenging myself in AP and Honors classes. I'm a starting varsity midfielder for my high school and a starting defender on my club team. 

On the field, I am tenacious, determined, and I always play through the whistle. I am defensively minded and strive to maximize possession on the circle, capitalize on opportunities for caused turnovers, and confidently transition and clear under pressure. My athleticism, determination and being comfortable playing with both hands, make me a versatile asset anywhere on the field. 

I am a multi-sport athlete, also playing on my schools JV soccer team and I ski in the off-season. Outside of school and athletics, I enjoy walking my dogs, and baking. I've also enjoyed earning a Varsity Letter in community service this year with over 100 hours. My best and worst quality is that I’m stubbornly hard-working.
