Hello! My name is Isadora Fuller but everyone calls me Izzi. I am from Granville Ohio, a small rural town about 30 minutes west of Columbus and home to Denison University. My high school does not have a rowing team so I am a member of the Westerville Crew Women's Varsity Team. We are located where what is easily the best 'rowable' body of water in Central Ohio, the Hoover Reservoir. Despite my late start to row, I have learned a lot and know that I am in it for the long haul. Quickly I knew that I wanted to find a college with both high academic standards and competitive rowing
Another important part of my identity is that I am bilingual. Originally from Chicago, I attended the Lycée Français de Chicago (Kindergarten through 5th grade), and after moving to Granville, I was accelerated into high school level French classes. My sophomore year of high school was spent on a year long study abroad in France with AFS Intercultural Programs. While in France, I lived in a small town in Southern Brittany called Plouhinec, and went to school, lived with a host family, and travel all over France. Since being home, I have continued my studies in French through a 305 level course at Denison University and a summer internship at the French Consulate in Chicago. Aside from studying French, my favorite subject has always been history. In college, I intend to pursue a double major in French and International Relations to eventually lead me to pursuing a career in cultural diplomacy.
