Coaches,
Thank you for taking time to view my profile!
Some of my best rowing experiences have come from our team's competitive push towards excellence. This past year, I rowed 3 seat in North Catholic's JV4+ boat. In this boat, we placed 1st at Head of the Cuyahoga, 3rd at Midwest Scholastic Championships, 5th at Stotesbury, and 8th at SRAA Nationals. I loved that as a boat, we pushed each other to become better rowers, both on and off the water. This summer, we have been training to improve our skills to have competitive fall and spring seasons.
I began rowing in spring of 2022, and I quickly fell in love with the sport. I work hard during every session on the water, on the erg, and in the classroom. I am very focused and have a strong desire to learn as a "student of the sport." When I do not understand a correction about my technique or form, I review video and talk with my coaches in a constant effort to understand the ways I can improve.
Furthermore, my drive for excellence thrives in the classroom. I challenge myself academically, taking as many honors and AP classes as possible. I also spend time working as a North Catholic Student Ambassador, Special Needs Faith Formation Mentor, and Youth Group Leader. These activities, along with other opportunities, have allowed me to serve in my community for over 120 hours.
In college, I aspire to row at a school with a strong academic and athletic background. I expectantly seek out a college experience that will propel me into a career serving others in the medical and engineering fields.
Thank you for your interest. I look forward to speaking with you soon!
