Alana McElligott '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches! I began rowing during COVID in 7th grade at Norfolk Academy and it quickly became one of my favorite things to do. Being out on the water was a soothing experience for me and it was a fun activity to do with my friends. Although it started as a hobby and a way to be closer with my sister, it has become one of the most important things in my life with most of my days being centered around rowing. I have adapted to having early strength sessions and night practices as well as creating workouts for my team that we can do together outside of practice. I currently train during the fall, summer, and winter with Coastal Virginia Community Rowing and in the spring with my school team, Norfolk Academy. I hope to be able to become even stronger in college and contribute to the team to the best of my ability.
