Sophie Fowler '28 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sophie Fowler. I have played soccer since I was four and have loved every minute of it. I am the first to the pitch and the last one off at the end of training or a match. I was one of only two 7th graders in my school's history to tryout for and make our 7A varsity squad and was the only 7th grader to be a full time starter from my first match. I led my varsity team in assists as an 8th grader and again this past season as freshman finishing the year ranked 2nd in Alabama's top classification 7A . This past season as a freshman, I was selected as an All Area and All State Honorable Mention as a midfielder. 

I am a team player who will play wherever I am needed to help my team succeed. For my school, I currently play the 10, but have also contributed at the 11, 8 and 6. At Concorde Fire, I am a team captain for my ECNL RL team and play at the 10, 8, and 6 but have also played a little at the 3 and 7. 

I am always working to improve my game both in the weight room and with supplemental training. For 5 years, I spent my off seasons training as part of the Atlanta United Regional Development School where I was a showcase selection. I currently work with a personal soccer trainer between school and club seasons.

I am dedicated to my studies and maintain a 4.2 GPA while taking honors courses when available. I am currently ranked #7 of 423 in my class.

I am interested in playing soccer at a high level and am interested in Physical Therapy as a career.
