Ashley Rangel '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Ashley Rangel Arroyo. I have been playing soccer since I was five years old and have been developing the goalkeeping position since the age of eight. I am a coachable player and have learned to gain a vision of the field due to development as a field player, especially regarding possession based training which allows me to implement tactical decisions into the game.  I am devoted to being a student, reaching a higher education in pursuit of learning alongside with having a strong commitment to the team.

I became a keeper without the full picture or realization of what it would become. There is an indescribable feeling taking that positive step forward and making that save. Goalkeeping has been a way for me to measure my goals; I am gaining a tangible sense of growth through seeing my own improvement in techniques and tactics as a keeper. All the while, maintaining a growth mindset in which I am looking for ways to better myself to be a mature goalkeeper mentally and physically.
