Emily Evans '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Emily Evans and I currently attend John W. North High School in Riverside CA. Soccer has been a very big passion of mine since the first time I played. While I only started playing soccer when I was nine, I immediately fell in love with it and it became a way for me to forget about the stress of school and just have some fun. Throughout my soccer career, I have played multiple positions but I feel I shine the most when I am playing center back. I feel that my communication skills and soccer IQ help me thrive in that position. Many people have also told me that my work ethic, positive attitude and aggressive style of play helps me to hold down the defensive line.

In the classroom, I challenge myself daily. I am currently enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (also known as IB). IB provides students with a challenging and comprehensive education that enables students to understand and manage the complexities of the world and provides students with the skills and attitudes for taking responsibility in the future. The classroom is another place where my work ethic has helped me succeed while balancing both soccer and academics.

I also enjoy giving back to my community, which is why I am also a part of the National Charity League (also known as NCL). NCL is a nation wide non profit organization that brings mothers and daughters together to help their communities. This organization has helped me give back to the community while also forming an even stronger bond with my mother. In addition to National Charity League, I often help out at a local ranch that helps disabled riders learn how to properly ride horses. This nonprofit organization is called EquiFriends Therapeutic Horsemanship Inc.Volunteering at EquiFriends helps me give back to my community while seeing the joy on riders faces.
