My journey with soccer has been a thrilling experience so far. In my sophomore year I was made captain for my high school soccer team. Being a young captain, I knew it was a huge responsibility. Soon I had to realize the challenge of lead a group of girls to become a successful team as a whole. No amount of soccer experience would prepare me for the difficulty of setting an example to several girls who were older than I was. Many might have questioned why I was chosen since I might not be the greatest player. But, the coach saw that I always work as hard as I can, I was always one hundred percent committed and I gave my heart, passion and respect to the sport I have loved since I was 5.
