Personal Statement
I became interested in playing sports at a very young age but it didn’t become a big aspect in my life until my 6th grade year. My 6th grade year was the first season I had swam. I continued this sport all throughout middle school and hopefully all of High school. My first season of track was my Sophomore year of high school. I ran mainly distance but our coach would put me into sprint relays. Junior year was my very first season of Cross Country. It was definitely out of my comfort zone but I was able to except that. Not making it to state for any of these sports didn’t change my mindset. When you fail you have to get back up and work harder and I believe that’s a good mindset for an athlete.
No matter the time of day I always have a positive attitude. I’m very outgoing and am not afraid to hit any obstacle head on. I’m not afraid to push myself over my limits because I know I can do it. I’m not the giving up type. I’m always able to balance my athletics with my school life. I have a good GPA and my PSAT was a high score. I believe I don’t only have the athletics but I have the character and academics as well.
