Personal Statement
I am a hard worker, motivated, adaptable, game smart student athlete. I have been on the honor roll and maintained excellent academics throughout my public schooling in Colorado and awarded the Colorado High School Association's Academic All State First Team for basketball and soccer in 2014. My family recently moved to Hawaii where I attended a private school and joined a new club soccer team. I have moved back to Colorado and will graduate from Bayfield High School. I have participated in varsity soccer and basketball since my freshmen year. I am one the varsity captains for my basketball team and am the starting point-guard. I was named Colorado's first team all conference for soccer in my freshmen and sophomore years. I have played competitive soccer for 8 years including center back, outside mid, center mid, outside back, and striker. During my high school career, my head coach strongly felt I was best suited for the attacking center mid position in which I became lead scorer in 2014 and second lead scorer in 2013. Since my freshmen year I have lettered in band, basketball, soccer, and academics.
My community service activities include camp invention counselor, elementary soccer assistant coach, Colorado Mounted Ranger annual breakfast volunteer, parks and recreation soccer official, and basketball camp coach, several children soccer camp coach.
I aspire to become a division I soccer player then semi-pro and pro eventually playing on the US women's national team. I plan to major in Kinesiology and exercise science in order to coach and work with athletes.
I believe I am a good candidate for your team because I am coachable, adaptable, have a strong understanding of the game, work hard on my skills during on and off season, adapt to different teams and environments, and am highly dedicated. I am also a co-captain for my varsity basketball and varsity soccer teams.
