Amelia Allison '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Amelia Allison and I am a 2023 goalkeeper. During club season I play for Broomfield Soccer Club on the 03/04G Thunder team. I play for Jefferson Academy during my high school season. Last year, I started for the JV team. I believe in working hard on and off the field. I like to challenge myself in soccer and in school. My sophomore year I took Honors English 10, Honors Algebra 2, College US History 121, and 122. This year I am currently taking college Biology 111 and Honors English 11. I plan on taking AP Euro and Pre-Calc/Trig. I have had to learn how to balance school and soccer. I have learned that in order to do both things I need to manage my free time well. When I am not practicing or studying, I enjoy volunteering. Whether it be coaching young goalkeepers or volunteering at A Precious Child, I love to be involved in my community. I also joined NHS at my school this year so I can be even more involved. Managing to be a student-athlete and an active member of my community can be challenging at times, so I have had to learn to manage my time and stay organized. I have also had to learn that sometimes I need to rest and find time for myself. Learning all of this has helped me become successful in academics and athletics.
