Personal Statement
The perfect pass is what I long for. I have always loved athletics, soccer being my passion. I have loved it since before I can remember. I started out playing defense mostly because of my competitiveness. I couldn’t be a striker and sit and watch while my team got scored on. I had to be able to help stop the other team. But when I moved into high school I became a center midfielder, I soon found this is the position I was meant to be in, my home on the field. Being a midfielder I strive for the perfect pass, the perfect set up. When the ball I play lands in the perfect spot I fall in love with the game all over again.
My passion for setting up others with the perfect pass carries of the field as well. Ever since I was little I have loved doctors and nurses; partly because I admired my aunt who was a nurse. I would love to go into the medical field, whether that be nursing, kinesiology, or physical therapy. Helping people medically is like giving them a good pass in soccer, you get to help them so they can continue on with their lives.
I want to go to college/university primarily for a good education and I can't think of anything better than to play soccer at the next higher level of competition. I am a very competitive person and always want the next level to challenge my playing.
I have taken every opportunity I have been given to improve and play and on more completive levels, however they are somewhat limited where I live in the Western Colorado Mountains. My first year getting to play High School level soccer as a freshman I lead my team in goals and assists and helped my team to State 2A semifinals and earned All State Second Team Honors. As a sophomore I increased my goals and assists and helped my team make it to the State 2A finals earning All State First Team Honors.
